Eine ,longue durée‘ der Gewalt? Kriegsversehrte Gesellschaften in Südosteuropa (1878 - 2020)

Habilitationsprojekt

„Eine „longue durée“ der Gewalt? Kriegsversehrte Gesellschaften in Südosteuropa“ist der Arbeitstitel meines Habilitationsprojekts, das ich letzten Sommer mit Unterstützung des Schweizerischen Nationalfonds begonnen habe. Gestützt auf das von Fernand Braudel entwickelte Konzept der „langen Dauer“, welches den Fokus der Historikerin, des Historikers weg von der Ereignisgeschichte hin zu langfristigeren sozialen, kulturellen und wirtschaftlichen Strukturen führt,untersuche ich kriegsversehrteGesellschaften Südosteuropas von den Balkankriegen 1912/1913 bis zu den Balkankonfliktenam Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts und frage nach möglichen Zusammenhängen erlebter Gewalt, der Art des Erinnerns und deren Relevanz für zukünftige Konflikte.

Transnational Resistance

Member of the "Transnational Resistance, 1936-1948" international research network headed by Professor Robert Gildea, University of Oxford. The research will question some of the basic assumptions about the history of resistance in Europe, exploring the lives of transnational resisters.
